Thursday May 21 is the Feast of the Ascension, the 40th day of Easter when the church celebrates the ascent of Jesus into heaven to dwell at the right hand of the Father. We read about this in Acts 1:9-11. This important event in the life of Jesus is not something we talk about much in many of our churches, but tells us something deep about who God is and how he works. Lucy Peppiatt will talk about how we understand this in terms of God’s presence on the earth now and what it means for us today. There will be time for Q&A and discussion to help us go deeper into this truth.
